Dermogenera Anti Ageing Facials

A highly effective skincare system

DERMOGENERA MICRO-NEEDLING

Using tiny micro needles to penetrate the surface of the skin. this helps stimulate the natural production of collagen and enhances skin tone, texture, loss of elasticity, wrinkles, acne scarring and sun damaged skin.

If you don't want the full face treated, we can use MCA  which is a needling technique that targets the heart of lines and wrinkles, so if you don't want a full face treated, you can still get results.

Micro-needling releases powerful growth factors which are part of the natural healing process, resulting in increased collagen and elastin production without causing damage to the skin. Following this treatment Collagen and Elastin will continue to be laid down in the months that follow. Includes post-needling homecare kit.

Dermogenera believe effective skin care does not need to be complicated and therefore there is a compact active range with highest quality ingredients to offer optimum results with respect for both the skin and for the environment.

Dermogenera’s philosophy is simple, purify, repair, hydrate and most importantly to protect the skin in the most natural way possible.

MICRONEEDLING

Great as an anti-ageing treatment for someone who is looking to maintain their youthful appearance

Aesthetic and medical Micro-needling treatments, offering safe and effective natural bio revitalisation, literally stimulating your own body to repair skin cells.

Combat skin ageing issues and improve the appearance of scars, improve hydration levels, discover more compact, elastic skin with better tone and reduce hyperpigmentation, lines and wrinkles.

Micro needling is a method of skin rejuvenation that uses micro needles to penetrate the surface of the skin to stimulate natural cellular regeneration. Microscopic perforations are made within the skin and they trigger the natural wound healing process of the body and the consequent cellular renewal, collagen, elastin, keratin and melanin.

Micro-needling can stimulate healthy regeneration of skin cells which is important when trying to improve the general health and structure of the skin.

Consultation

A consultation is an opportunity for us to fully discuss your specific skin concerns, run through a health questionnaire to ensure you are suitable for treatment, and answer any questions you may have. We will also discuss the treatment itself and if a course of treatments is needed for the desired effect.

Double Cleanse

Throughout the day, airborne bacteria and pollution is attracted to your skin, and if they aren't washed away properly, they could potentially contribute to ageing, pigmentation and breakouts.

The first cleanse removes make-up, oil, dirt & SPF from the surface. The second cleanse will clean much deeper into the pores to remove any impurities. Always use that first cleanse to thoroughly remove make up. This may take a further 2-3 goes depending on how much you have used.

The second cleanse you want to be working the cleanser into your skin for at least a minute to ensure your pores are free from impurities.

Evening cleanses will allow serums, moisturises and any clever night-time leave-on’s to work their magic more efficiently. If you double cleanse in the evening, it isn’t always necessary to do the following morning.

Tone

A well designed face toner helps rebalance the skins natural PH levels to healthy. Very healthy skin has a PH between 4 & 5.... a level very easily upset by cleansing products

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a safe, simple and effective method of exfoliating the skin, removing dead skin cells, and also fine vellus hair (peach fuzz).  This gives an immediate luminous glow, dewy skin, faster cell turnover and a smoother texture. It also allows any products you apply, to penetrate deeper!

Extraction

Following either steam or hot towels on the face, safe extraction of blackheads, whiteheads and comedones is performed (if required).

Exfoliation

Exfoliating not only helps to unclog blocked pores, remove dead/dry skin but also helps increase blood circulation which in turn helps you to achieve healthy glowing skin.

However, exfoliating every day can strip the skin of its natural oils, which can cause breakouts. Over-exfoliating can cause chronic skin irritation and inflammation, which can lead to accelerated ageing. Two to three times a week for normal and combination skin, and once a week for sensitive skin.

You want to avoid facial scrubs with large grains. Think of a sandpaper surface, if you look closely it has scratch marks and that is what will happen to your skin. Instead, opt for a softer more paste-like grained exfoliate which is less likely to irritate your skin.

Enzyme Peel

The Instant Painless peel is a natural enzymatic peeling gel, that visibly removes dead skin cells. Revealing brighter, softer skin, with no downtime associated with chemical peels.

Chemical Peel

The chemical peel is one of the oldest cosmetic procedures in the world. Today chemical peels are among the most popular and widely recognised methods of improving the health and appearance of skin by removing dead skin cells and encouraging new ones to grow.

Chemical peel depth can range from very superficial to deep, although several light depth peels can often achieve similar results to one deeper peel treatment, with less risk and shorter recovery time.

* AHA - alpha hydroxy acid / BHA - beta hydroxy acid

Microneedling

Micro needling is a method of skin rejuvenation that uses micro needles to penetrate the surface of the skin to stimulate natural cellular regeneration. Microscopic perforations are made within the skin and they trigger the natural wound healing process of the body and the consequent cellular renewal, collagen, elastin, keratin and melanin.

LED Light Therapy

LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive hand and facial treatment that uses narrow band, non-thermal LED light energy to trigger your body’s natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair of the skin. It’s recommended for skin rejuvenation, sun damage, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, sensitive and inflammatory conditions, wound healing and scarring as well as anyone looking to restore skin’s radiance.

Mask

Not only do face masks feel utterly pampering and feel amazing, but with the right mask, they can can help hydrate your skin, remove excess oils and improve the appearance of your pores.

There are a lot of face masks on the market at the moment; from clay masks, sheet masks, mud masks and setting masks. So choosing the right one for your skin will depend on how often you can use it, some you can use every day but in general you should be using a mask 1-3 times per week. .

Serum

Serums are packed full of moisturising ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. They’re super absorbent, much more than your moisturiser as they have a lipid-soluble base. Because of this, it allows the active ingredients to penetrate deeper through the epidermis, instead of sitting on the top like regular moisturisers.

Moisturise & SPF

In this step, you ideally want to be applying moisturiser first. If you have used a serum, the moisturiser will help to lock in all the goodness and will help keep you hydrated and maintain its balance. Your SPF (sunscreen) or moisturiser with SPF can then be applied.

To SPF or not to SPF?

SPF!! Every day. But you need to apply it evenly and all over your face otherwise you will not get the SPF desired. Your foundation may very well ‘contain’ spf, but this is not enough to protect you from premature ageing or skin damage. But obviously some SPF is better than non.

Tip: Use gentle upward strokes, especially on the neck.
